Cuesta Wins First Championships Since 2013 and 17th Overall
The Cuesta College Baseball team wrapped up the 2016 Western State Conference North Division Championship last week. It’s the Cougars first conference championship since 2013 and their 17th overall.

Cuesta kept the title all to themselves thanks to a pair of wins over Los Angeles Pierce College in their final two contests. The wins ran their conference record to 18-6, to go along with a 25-11 record. The Cougars own the most conference championships of either division, with College of the Canyons now trailing Cuesta by four titles.
Cuesta is one of two WSC North schools to represent the conference in the upcoming CCCAA SoCal Playoffs. The Cougars earned the #6 seed, while Santa Barbara City College is the other, as they earned the #15 seed.
