Eubank is WSC North Player of the Year; Crawford Named Hitter of the Year
Oxnard College sophomore starting pitcher Luke Eubank was named the Western State Conference North Division Player of the Year on Sunday afternoon. In addition, Ventura College’s Harrison Crawford was named the winner of the Big Stick Award, while Oxnard skipper Jon Larson was tabbed as the Coach of the Year
Oxnard College sophomore starting pitcher Luke Eubank was named the Western State Conference North Division Player of the Year on Sunday afternoon. In addition, Ventura College's Harrison Crawford was named the winner of the Big Stick Award, while Oxnard skipper Jon Larson was tabbed as the Coach of the Year.
Eubank had an outstanding 2014 campaign, leading the entire WSC in wins (10), K's (98), and ERA (0.77). Eubank was a perfect 10-0 on the year, with one save, and one complete game. Eubank led the WSC in innings pitched (93.1) and averaged 9.45 K's per game.
Crawford meanwhile was third overall in the WSC in batting average and second in the WSC North (.371). Crawford drove in 30 RBI's, and recorded 13 extra base hits. Crawford posted a .444 on-base percentage and a .530 slugging percentage, while swiping nine bags.
Larson led the Condors to a 27-9 overall record and 14-6 mark in WSC North play. Larson's Condor's won the 2014 WSC North Championship their first since 2010, and third overall.
