Citrus' Twente Tabbed 3CFCA Player of the Week
Los Angeles, Calif. - Citrus College freshman centerfielder Grace Twente has been tabbed the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Player of the Week, announced Monday.
Twente led the Owls to a 2-1 week with her play at the plate, batting .800 (8-for-10), including a perfect 5-for-5 outing in the team's 10-7 upset over then-ranked No. 7 Fullerton. Overall, she stole five bases, including four at Ventura, while tallying six runs and two RBI. Twente is now fifth in the state in stolen bases with 26 and is hitting .500.
Sierra's Liliana Cruz joins Twente as the 3CFCA Pitcher of the Week.
Twente is the second Western State Conference selection this season, joining Azusena Lopez (Glendale), who was tabbed Player of the Week to open the season.
