Kitabatake, Canyons Capture Individual and Team Titles at WSC #3
Camarillo, Calif. - Defending 3C2A Champion Sahya Kitabatake paced all golfers with a 65, shooting six under the course par, to lead the College of the Canyons women's golf team to the WSC #3 title on Monday morning at the Sterling Hills Golf Club.
As a team, the Cougars scored 338, edging Bakersfield College, who finished with a team score of 343 and all four scoring golfers finishing in the top 10. Allan Hancock's Zan McGovern finished second overall, shooting a 72 in the field of 34, while Santa Barbara's Aidie Smith rounded out the top three with a score of 76.
Antelope Valley will host the WSC #4 on Monday, Sept. 22 at Rancho Vista Golf Course in Palmdale. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
