Santa Barbara Wins SoCal Team Championship
The Santa Barbara City College Women’s Golf team continued it’s incredible 2013 season this past weekend with a team win at the 2013 Southern California Championships. The Vaqueros held off Orange Empire Conference Champion Fullerton College by 15 strokes, to also advance to the CCCAA State Championships.

The Vaqueros held off Orange Empire Conference Champion Fullerton College by 15 strokes, to also advance to the CCCAA State Championships.
Santa Barbara took a seven stroke lead over the Hornets after a first day team score of 311. The Vaqueros followed that up with a near identical round, posting a team score of 313 to secure the championship. Fanny Johansson led the way for the Vaqueros, finishing third individually with a two day total of 151. Teammates Vanessa Villa and Saralisa Ortega finished tied for 7th overall with scores of 157.
Along with Santa Barbara, Citrus' Paramee Suwantanma will advance to the CCCAA State Championships as an individual.
The State Championships, will be held at Tracey Golf and Country Club in Tracey, CA on Monday and Tuesday November 18th - 19th.
