WSC Runners Sweep 5CTCA SoCal Runners of the Week Honors for Second-Straight Week
Sacramento, Calif. - Cuesta sophomore Weston Greenelsh and Canyons sophomore Victoria Jamison swept the 5CTCA SoCal Runners of the Week honors for Week No. 5, announced Wednesday. This marks the second-straight week that WSC student-athletes have captured the honors.
Greenelsh, the defending 3C2A Champion, took the top spot at the Hartnell College Pink in the Park Invite in a time of 20:21, the fourth-fastest all-time in Toro Park history. This title comes after winning the WSC Preview in Ventura in September, and he edged the State Preview top runner Luciano Roberts of San Diego Mesa and last year's race winner Stephan Chapdelaine of Butte.
After finishing eighth last year and earning All-America status, Jamison is on track to have a successful sophomore campaign. She won the Bakersfield Invitational in a time of 19:01 last week after also winning the Tri-State Challenge in Las Vegas the previous week.
