LA Mission's Zamora Tabbed SoCal Pitcher of the Week
LA Mission's Sebastian Zamora was tabbed the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) SoCal Pitcher of the Week for Week No. 2 (Jan. 26-Feb. 1), announced Tuesday.
Zamora, a sophomore righty from Burbank, tossed a complete-game shutout at Long Beach in his one outing last week on Thursday. He scattered six hits, fanning nine, and allowed only one walk, while facing only 34 batters.
Zamora is joined by Mt. San Antonio's redshirt freshman righfielder Andrew Alva, who was named SoCal Player of the Week.
