Three Western State Conference teams were ranked in the 2013-14 California Community College Men’s Basketball Coaches Pre-Season Poll. Citrus College, Antelope Valley College, and Ventura College all earned pre-season looks.

Citrus College, from the WSC South, came in as the highest ranked team checking in at #4 after going 16-11 last season. New conference member Antelope Valley College (20-9), also a WSC South school, was slotted at #7, while Ventura College (24-7) was the WSC North's lone representative getting slotted at #9.
